There will be no large-scale abandonment of the "bachelor-master" formula from September 1, 2026, but the pilot program will expand to include 17 universities.

Starting from September 1, 2023, Russia will abolish the "bachelor" and "master" formats, introducing a new basic higher education lasting from four to six years and specialized education lasting one to three years.
