Russia has launched the first 16 satellites of the "Rassvet" system into orbit, viewed as an alternative to Starlink. To fully replace Starlink, a total of 250 satellites need to be launched along with ground terminal production, with a military priority now evident after Starlink was disabled for Russian military use.
